The Deed of Settlement was agreed by an exchange of letters between the Crown and Ng\u0101ti Tama is the Crown\u2019s formal offer of settlement for Ng\u0101ti Tama\u2019s historical claims against the Crown under the Treaty of Waitangi.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><span class=\"text-class-11\">Ng\u0101ti Tama was represented in negotiations by the Claims Progression Team led by\u00a0Greg White.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><span class=\"text-class-11\">The Office of Treaty Settlements with the support of Treasury, Ministry of Fisheries and the Department of Conservation, represented the Crown in day to day negotiations.
