In preparation for the 2020 major transaction vote, Te Rūnanga prepared a booklet about the project for Ngāti Tama uri to help inform their decision on Waka Kotahi’s offer.
The booklet includes details about:
• reasons to support the project
• the design of the new route and it’s environmentally friendly features
• cultural expression – telling our stories in the bypass design
• environmental impacts and the ways the project environment will restore and improve the natural environment
• Ngā Kirimana/bypass agreements including how these benefit our iwi.
