Te Rūnanga is the mandated authority for Ngāti Tama o Taranaki and administer its assets.
Te Rūnanga is a board made up of upto seven trustees, elected by our adult registered members. Trustees are elected every three years.
The wellbeing of our whenua, iwi and environment is Te Rūnanga’s overarching focus. We advocate for our people’s needs and aspirations. Our work involves day-to-day administration and representing the iwi on boards and trusts to provide input on current initiatives – such as regional, health and environmental issues and reforms. We are actively involved in projects and activities that impact our rohe.
